Landscape (week 6)

Photo #1: This was taken on my trip across the US. I climbed a mountain in Boulder, CO and saw this amazing view at the top.

Photo #2: This was also taken in Boulder, CO towards the base of the mountain I climbed if you looked north from the base.
Photo #3: My jaw was wide open driving through a lot of Colorado, Utah, and Arizona with all the rock formations. I grew up loving geology and I love the layers of different colored rocks. This picture was taken in the Utah desert.
Photo #4: I pulled over to the side of the road for this one. I was driving by and had to take this photo. All of the colors compliment each other and it came our exactly how I wanted it to :)

  1. Such an interesting contrast to our Vermont landscape. I like the mood of #2, brooding and mysterious. Nice wave-like lines in #1. Even though this was a mountain view, it reminded me of the sea.

  2. What a great opportunity to capture such great landscape shots. I think landscape photography would be easier if we were in new areas because it is hard to find the landscape that you are always surrounded by as interesting. Those are some great shots of the mountains 1 & 2, I just wish the colors had been a little more vibrant for you. I had that trouble when I got to the top of the mountain today, I had a great view but a light haze all over. These really are some great photos and I'm jealous of you being able to travel and see such wonderful stuff.

  3. I love these! I actually like the misty haze and try to look for it often. I think #1 is my favorite only because the layers of mountains and trees is such a clear ombre and in #2 theres a bush or tree that kind of sticks out very boldly.

  4. WOW is really all I can say.... I wish I had the opportunity to get pictures like this. The beautiful natural lines in picture 4 are awesome. Picture 1 seems like the view and land go on forever. These pictures define landscape too me!
